The last couple of weeks Ive been getting a lot of questions about my future! But I didn’t really know what to say! I have always been saying that I will continue until I don’t have that 100% motivation to go to training every day. And that has not stopped! After I do good, I just want to get better! If I do bad, I’m even more motivated to get back. Its always been like that, and it still is. After a poor season like this with no results and lots of trouble with my back, but so much positive things in training etc, I have been thinking that its time to set a big hairy goal! Its time to raise the bar so high that I can jump under it! I want to take gold in Harrachov 2014 and bring home some olympic metal from Sochi!
Theese goals are not something said just because I failed in the last olympics and this years Vikersund, but I feel that I have it in me to bring home a gold medal. It might seem like I’m far away for most of you, but Im sure that with the right attitude, a lot of hard training and the experience Ive gained over the years now. It is possible. And since I love what I do so much, I feel its just stupid not to go for it.
Like I mentioned earlier, Ive had tons of questions about my future. And they would probably raise again after next season. But now that Ive put it out there, its no question about me going on or not. Ive never had any plans of quitting. The idea of a “normal” life is of course tempting with a beautiful wife and all, but this is the time to do what i love. And I will never get a shot at medals again if i quit now.
